Physician Referrals

Before you schedule an appointment or see another physician/specialist outside of Southdale Internal Medicine, we recommend that you contact our office and speak to your doctor's assistant. Due to guidelines with health plans and health care networks, many times a referral is needed in order for the patient to see a physician other than his/her primary care physician. There may also be guidelines with regard to which specialist a patient may see.
